WORKSHOP

11 - 12 of June       

‘Baby-doll. Traditional waldorf doll size 14” (35cm) ’  

 

2 days class will be given in English

This workshop is suitable for beginners.

It is advisable to have crochet skills. This workshop requires homework - to prepare clothes for your baby doll prior to the Seminar.

These two days workshop include full information about tradition techniques of waldorf doll making: how to make a proportional figure of a baby doll, stitches for sewing waldorf doll by hands, mould a doll’s head, make a nose and ears, embroider a face, secrets of simple emotions, wool stuffing pre-sewn body parts, stitching the body and limbs, assembling the parts of the doll in accordance with the proportions. No doll clothes will be made.

You don’t need to use sewing machines. All doll’s parts will be hand sewn.

We provide the necessary materials, but no tools. To bring along to the Seminar:  scissors, ruler about 40 cm,  doll needles, a crochet hook and paper and pen to make notes.

13 - 14 of June     

 ‘Traditional Heavy Baby doll / 2 pounds ( 1.2 Kg ) and  12” (30 cm)’

 

1.5 days class will be given in English.

This workshop is suitable for beginners. It is of particular interest to kindergarten teachers and Waldorf elementary school teachers. (This doll is ideal for the role of Baby Jesus in Christmas story). Hugging this doll and carrying on the handles - this causes a special thrill in a small child.

We will filled  this Heavy Baby with millet (or river sand) and warm wool. This doll is designed to have feel her like a real baby. This doll's body is sack-like, without legs.  A bunting-style doll.

These 1.5 days of traditional techniques of waldorf doll making: learning the proportions of newborn, stitches for sewing dolls by hands, mould a doll’s head, embroider a sleeping baby's face, wool stuffing pre-sewn body parts, stitching the body and limbs, assembling the parts of the doll in accordance with the proportions. This class includes pre-made doll clothes.
